Worst place to live: London's Hackney
East London's Hackney district has been deemed as the worst
place to live in Britain, a survey says.  Sky News
reported that 434 local districts in Britain were measured
based on five criteria: crime, lifestyle, environment,
education and employment.  The research, carried out for
Channel 4's "The Best and Worst Places to Live in the UK:
2006," also listed east London's Tower Hamlets, north
London's Islington and South Wales' Merthyr Tydfil as
among the worst places to live.  Hackney Mayor Jules Pipe
defended the district.  "Of course Hackney has problems,
as do all inner city boroughs," he said. "But it is an
amazing place to live."

Trust me Nem. Any type of housing is at a premium, especially in the south east of England, so a little thing like the area being a complete shit hole won't have too much of an effect! lol. For the record though I wouldn't choose to live in any part of London again. I did it for a year and a half and didn't enjoy it at all. It's loud, over crouded, smelly and polluted. Then there's all it's bad points! hehehe.

London isn't it like a small city where the only way you can build is up? Sounds like New York, No thanks. Well I do have a price.

I want to know what is rated the best, or worst place to live in the USA, and why. Seing as the only brit to reply to this post is now across the pond anyway, I don't think it's fair to pick on old england hehe. Having been to lundon, I don't think I'd want to live there either. it's way to crowded and you have to live in a shoe box.

That doesn't sound so bad. Living in poverty can be the funnest and most meaningful life ever.
